Why is Vaikuntha Chaturdashi celebrated?
Traditional accounts describe Lord Vishnu worshipping Lord Shiva with one thousand lotuses. When one lotus was missing, Vishnu offered his own lotus-like eye to complete the worship. Pleased by this devotion, Shiva restored the offering and granted Vishnu the Sudarshana Chakra. The story represents humility, mutual reverence and unity within diverse forms of worship.
