Ravivar Vrat (रविवार व्रत)
Ravivar Vrat, observed on Sundays, is dedicated to Lord Surya (the Sun God), the source of energy, light, and vitality. The Sun is also associated with good health, leadership, and self-confidence in Hinduism. Fasting on this day is believed to bring clarity of thought, improve health, and remove ego and negativity from life. It is a powerful spiritual practice to cleanse both body and soul while seeking the blessings of Surya Dev.

Ravivar Vrat Katha (रविवार व्रत कथा- सूर्यदेव की कथा)
Once there lived a poor old woman who was very devoted to Surya Dev. She used to fast every Sunday and offer water to the Sun God while chanting mantras. She would prepare a simple meal after offering food to Brahmins or poor people and would eat only after that.
One day, Surya Dev appeared before her and blessed her, saying, “You have been faithful and devoted. I will remove your poverty.” Soon, her small hut turned into a beautiful house. She got enough wealth, food, and clothes. She started helping others, and people began respecting her.
A neighbor, out of jealousy, tried to imitate her. However, she didn’t follow the rituals properly and insulted the offerings meant for Surya Dev. As a result, her condition worsened instead of improving.
When she realized her mistake, she sincerely apologized and began observing the vrat properly with devotion. Eventually, her problems were resolved too.
